About The Ford Maverick

Cleverly designed to meet the demands of the next generation of truck buyers, the versatile Ford Maverick is the ultimate solution for DIY enthusiasts and those living active lifestyles. Making history as America’s first compact hybrid pickup truck, the Maverick stands out with an outstanding EPA-estimated city fuel economy rating of up to 40 MPG**. Craving maximum capability? The standard 250-horsepower 2.0-liter EcoBoost 4-cylinder engine of the Maverick comes paired with a responsive 8-speed automatic transmission and an optional intelligent all-wheel drive system for maximum control. There’s also an available 4K tow package that increases the already noteworthy towing capacity of the Maverick to 4,000 pounds. You can even create your own customized cargo-carrying solutions using the forward-thinking FLEXBED™ truck bed. Inside the cabin, you’ll find a mix of premium comfort features and practical ergonomics that will enhance your experience behind the wheel. In addition to its attractively low starting price, the Ford Maverick is proof that big things do in fact come in small packages.

What the Critics Say

“As a package, the Maverick reintroduces the compact pickup as a legitimate option for buyers who want the added capability of an open bed without the poor fuel economy, lethargic handling, and rich pricing of larger trucks. Nicely done.” — MotorTrend

“In terms of resourcefulness, the Maverick is a star player. Consider its 54-inch long bed; smaller than any midsize truck (but longer and more useful than Santa Cruz's 48-inch bed), it incorporates standard tie-downs, available sliding cleats, LED bed lighting, dual bottle openers and a bed wall cubby with a removable floor to accommodate more oversized items like an onboard compressor.” — Forbes

What's New for 2024

Several key updates have been made to the 2024 Ford Maverick to bolster its already successful reputation. Perhaps the most noteworthy is the fact that the previously optional 2.0L EcoBoost 4-cylinder engine is now the standard powertrain choice for the Maverick. In terms of exterior color availability, both Terrain and Azure Gray join the lineup this year while Cyber Orange, Alto Blue, Avalanche Gray, and Area 51 have been discontinued. Finally, some small adjustments to the feature content within the various option packages round out the list of updates to the 2024 Ford Maverick.

Ford Maverick Features

Ford Maverick Performance

Practical Performance

An appealing alternative to larger midsize or full-size trucks, the Ford Maverick stands out with its unparalleled blend of efficiency and capability. Those in search of maximizing their MPG should look no further than its available 2.5-liter four-cylinder hybrid powertrain, producing a balanced 191 horsepower and 155 lb-ft of torque paired to a continuously variable transmission (CVT) powering the front wheels. In addition to its standard towing capacity of 2,000 pounds, the Maverick still delivers a remarkable 40 MPG city fuel economy rating and 500 miles of range using a single tank of gas**. If you’re looking for power, its standard 2.0-liter EcoBoost® gas engine cranks out 250 horsepower and 277 lb-ft of torque with an 8-speed automatic transmission. For improved traction in all conditions, shoppers can also opt for an available intelligent all-wheel drive system. The standard towing capacity of the Ford Maverick can also be doubled by selecting the available 4K Tow Package, boosting the maximum capacity to 4,000 pounds.

Ford Maverick Interior

Premium Interior

Spacious, innovative, and packed with premium materials – the interior of the Ford Maverick lets you enjoy every mile of your daily commute. Inside, drivers can enjoy an impressive list of connected tech features including Apple CarPlay®, Android Auto®, and FordPass™ Connect with embedded modem and Wi-Fi for up to 10 devices. Thanks to its standard SuperCrew cab configuration, the Maverick also provides generous seating space for up to 5 passengers along with smart storage solutions and compartments for all of your essential items. Simply raise the rear seat bottoms to reveal a dedicated under-seat storage compartment, providing a secure space for your valuables and other cargo. No matter how experienced of a driver you are, the available Ford Co-Pilot360™ collection of active driver-assist technologies is standing by to keep you protected from danger on the roads.

Ford Maverick Versatility

FLEXBED™ Versatility

Perhaps the most cutting-edge utility feature of the Ford Maverick is its exclusive FLEXBED™ truck bed configuration. Unlike any other competitor in its class, the Maverick provides virtually endless possibilities for customizing and securing cargo depending on your own individual needs thanks to dedicated slots that fit 2x4s or 2x6s. You can design segmented storage areas, elevated cargo floors, bike/kayak racks, or virtually anything else you can imagine. Additional practical cargo management amenities found inside the bed include integrated threaded holes in the sides, four D-rings, and two tie-down cleats. Rather than hacking up the factory wiring harness for electrical power, the Maverick features standard 12-volt electrical power pre-wired to an easily removable cover on either side of the truck bed. With the tailgate in the raised position, this 4.5-foot bed has a standard payload capacity of 1,500 pounds, equivalent to approximately 37 bags of 40-pound mulch. Lower the tailgate and you’ll have room for up to 18 sheets of 4x8-foot three-quarter-inch plywood without the need to angle the panels.
